Case study

The need

Useful local updates are spread across several pages and are easy to miss, especially during interruptions or bad weather.

What I built

I built a focused feed for BENECO notices, PAGASA bulletins, community posts, saved alert preferences, and ntfy notifications. Each update stays linked to its original source.

What changed

People can scan the latest information in one place or subscribe to the updates they care about instead of repeatedly checking several sources.

Build notes

Decisions kept practical

Source attribution stays visible so official notices are easy to verify.
The public feed works without an account; sign-in is only needed for preferences and community features.
Alert delivery is separate from the main feed so each part can be maintained independently.

Bagiyo is a personal community project and is separate from my employer work.
